6 World Record Breaking Items at the Auction House
As quoted by Liputan6.com from the official report of one of the largest commercial property consultancy firm in the world, Knight Frank, Thursday (17/4/2014), some conglomerates consider it as post-crisis investment. Some luxury goods were sold at rocketing prices.
In a report titled `Wealth Report 2014`, Knight Frank managed to find a number of antiques and luxury whose selling price managed to break the world record.
One of them is the classic Ferrari 275 car that sold for US $ 27.5 million or Rp 314.5 billion (exchange rate: Rp 11.435 / US $).
"Because this (auction), not a very big market, a little extra money alone can break the world record," said Managing Director of Baldwins auction house, Ian Goldbart.
Not only cars, antique coins also managed to attract the conglomerate to spend the money. Goldbart said the coin market is now more attractive to investors.
"There is always a strong demand for a number of coins in the US We are also seeing increased interest in China," he said.
